We’re excited to share that we’re Airdrie top producers for January! What a lot of people don’t know is that Lindsay was a client of mine. When she decided to get her real estate license, she asked if I thought it was a good idea. To be honest, not many people make it as Real Estate Agents, so I am always careful about endorsing it as a career move. It’s expensive to get your license. There are licensing fees, membership fees, and dues paid to a Brokerage. All this is just to get your name on a sign (which you pay for too!). It’s a lot of money to put out there, just to discover you’re not cut out for it. But if the work ethic is there and the desire is strong, the potential for an incredible career exists.
With Lindsay, I didn’t hesitate. I knew she had what it took and she was smart about it. She took her time, budgeted, and committed fully to seeing it through. I knew she was going to do very well and she hit the ground running.
After being a standout Rookie at CIR Realty in Airdrie and establishing herself in her own right, she started asking me about this agent position I was looking to fill. I didn’t want to talk her into it, that didn’t feel right. Instead, I tried to talk her out of it. When she didn’t give up and continued to persist in her belief that we’d be a great fit, I knew she was the right choice.
When my Dad got sick in September and subsequently passed away, I left everything to Lindsay and Danielle (who is our client coordinator and secret weapon), to be home with him. They handled it all and I didn’t have to worry about anything. To know you’ve found the right people that will have your back and run things even when you’re not there to oversee it is to know you’ve succeeded as a leader. I could not be more grateful for their compassion and loyalty. You really are nothing without great people surrounding you.
What started as a solo journey in an ugly green car in 2010 has now grown into this amazing Airdrie Real Estate Team. To make Top Producer in January in a new bracket of competition is especially humbling and exciting. With no plans to slow down, we are propelling into 2021 with clear heads and big dreams!
