I’m sitting inside my home, watching the first snow fall of the year. It’s late November and I can feel that the year is starting to wind down. The market is pretty stable right now, but I think compared to the absolutely insane years we experienced after COVID, it’s an adjustment.
Our team just hit the 100 mark for sales, which I believe is a huge accomplishment. In the past, we have definitely sold more, but we have had a lot of challenges this year.
As some of you may be aware, October was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. It’s a time dedicated to raising awareness, remembering the lives of babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death and supporting grieving families. It is with deep sadness that I share that our Cloé and her husband Eric lost their baby, Louise, on March 30th. Cloé has bravely chosen to share her story with all of you and it’s available here for you to read if you choose. I cannot even begin to imagine the profound grief they have endured, and I have so much respect and admiration for the immense strength it takes to share such a personal experience. I love you, Cloé. We’re behind you.
Our annual Christmas Minis are taking place this weekend and we have chosen The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Centre as the charity we will be supporting. Incredibly, without any social media posts, we have filled all slots. My hope is that our fundraising efforts will allow us to make a substantial impact on the support these grieving families desperately need. I look forward to seeing so many of you this weekend.
I can truly say that after a year of setbacks, awful heartbreak and change, our team has never been stronger.
So many of us have walked through fire and as we share our stories, we learn that we are not alone.
